The idea of floating cities has been around for centuries. Now, a new collaborative entity called Oceanix is achieving this ancient vision with modern technology. In a rapidly urbanizing world, where six in ten people will live in an urban area by the year 2030, the United Nations is working with Oceanix and others to explore how floating cities can help create a more sustainable future.
