United Nations, 30 January 2009 – UNICEF Executive Director Ann M. Veneman, on a recent visit to Zimbabwe, announced a US$5 million incentive package aimed at rescuing the ailing Zimbabwean health sector. Zimbabwe is faced by an unprecedented cholera outbreak which has claimed more than 2,000 lives over the last four months, and a heightened humanitarian crisis.
